Isometric vs Top Down
Which should I choose?
Existential Dread
Hey Hey Hey all you crazy cats out there, hows it going? Thanks for taking the time to read this. Hopefully it’ll keep you from having to contemplate the inevitability of death the vast nothingness that is approaching us all.
Isometric or Top Down?
Right so Isometric or Top down? I did a test with some isometric art and I think it looks really cool. It has the same vibe as that Simpsons Halloween Special episode where Homer is hiding from Patty and Selma and accidentally enters the 3d dimension.
That being said I have no idea how I would do collision in an isometric world. So due to that and also for simplicity sake I am going to stick with the classic top down look. But maybe I can tackle an isometric game for my next game.
I have been a bit spotty lately with the updates due to… laziness. That being said I just gotta keep chipping away at this game and I will get it done and released
Story
I have been spending some time thinking about the story lately. A friend gave me some good advice and I am going to keep things simple. The game is going to have a simple goal and you can going to chomp you way to victory. I am rather tempted to make it a big huge story about saving the planet or some galaxy spanning war that comes to a head. But lets me honest, I’m not that good of a writer and I don’t have the time or energy to make something like that.
A simple clear and maybe even cliché story is already a difficult enough task, no need to add anything more to my plate. So as it stands now the Dino is on a journey to find the mythical perfect pizza recipe so that he can enjoy the best pizza ever made. Or maybe something else, who knows, definitely not me.
Right well you keep it awesome out there you silly billies.
